Instructional Design Blogs Review

After reviewing many blogs on Instructional Design, I have filtered them down to these few that I recommend to all of you for their up to date content, innovative approach and motivational tone:

1. Cathy Moore "Lets save the World from boring e-learning!" is a blog that brings together "ideas that will help you develop action-packed learning materials for working adults" says Cathy Moore. I think she does this very successfully, writing about many aspects of instructional design in a clear action-packed wrapping.

2. Upsidelearning contains a useful "Top Learning, Technology and Media Links: Weekly Digest" which contains relevant content about instructional design and e-learning presented in an informal manner. The content is industry specific and obviously written by people in the field. It provides an interesting look at what instructional design is all about from the perspective of an instructional designer. The graphics and short posts keep to the point and provide excellent information.

3. Cammy Bean's Learning Visions is a beautifully laid out blog containing resources for instructional designers. It is designed for the beginner instructional designer as an introduction to Instructional Design. Cammy Bean has gathered together lots of links to blogs, reading recommendations and other resources that provide an excellent overview of this field.

4. Experiencing E-Learning written by Christy Tucker is a general blog that includes posts about e-learning, social media, instructional design, blogging, K-12, constructivism and wikis. Her content is well researched, providing an excellent all round blog. Ms. Tucker has an education background and her goal is to provide a blog that combines all her interests into a blended learning experience. Well worth a look!

5. E-Learning: Knowledge Platform  is curated by Knowledge Platform, one of Asia-Pacific's leading instructional design, e-learning content development and learning technology solutions companies. This is a blog that will keep you up to date with e-learning news and trends from around the World.
